The morning of the “Sankalpa Diwas” started at 7 am with Yoga and meditation sessions. Approx 100 people including children, adults and senior citizens participated in the session. The event was held on the Yoga center ground at Purba Sridharpur. The session was conducted by Mr. Sankar Halder- (Founder – President of Mukti), Ms. Bula Mondal (Raidihgi College Yoga teacher and residence of Purba Sridharpur) and Mr. Kamal Krishna Khara (Model village Yoga trainer and school teacher). The session continued till 9:30 am.
The session started with the full-body losing exercise. Gradually the participants practiced stretching, Surya Nomoskar, and Pranayam/ breathing exercises (Kapalbhathi). The session ended with a meditation. Participants were advised to practice the exercises every day to reduce stress levels, obesity, hypertension, diabetes, joint pains etc.
Interested individuals were advised specific Yoga poses to reduce their illness.
