Annual General Meeting of Mukti was held on 27 of July 2014, at the Community Hall of Sherwood Block-G, Narendrapur, Kolkata. It was a well-attended meeting that saw enthusiastic participation from the audience. Several board members were in attendance via video conferencing which was smoothly managed by board member Mr. Debabarata Halder.
The meeting proceedings included the following:
1. Lighting of inaugural lamp by the president and the secretary, and inaugural song by Mrs. Krishna Halder.
2. President and secretary reports, including presentation of Mukti’s “Vision 2020” for the coming years.
a. Livelihood generation and economic security through self-employment.
b. Education and empowerment to increase literacy and life skills.
c. Agricultural reforms to promote climate resilient sustainable agriculture.
d. Health, water and sanitation programs at the grass roots level.
e. Promoting environmental consciousness and an economy adaptable to climate change.
f. Rights and governance: Promotion of better access to legal justice to protect rights of the people.
3. Presentation of last year audited accounts.
4. Dissolution of existing board of trustees, and formation of the new board.
