Saikat Ghosh
Saikat Ghosh is a 2nd-year MBBS student. He is studying at IPGMER and SSKM Hospital. He lives with his parents at Malpara, Llitapur, Dantan in Paschim Medinipur district. His two elder sisters are married. His father is the only bread earner in his family. Besides farming, his father alters old dresses for a living. His mother is a homemaker. Even in extremely difficult situations, his parents always encouraged him to study hard. Saikat’s spirit and zeal for higher education have defeated all the hurdles placed in his path by financial difficulties.
His indomitable spirit has been recognized by Srijan Realty Pvt Ltd and with their support, he is moving forward toward his dream of becoming a doctor.
In fact, he is already giving back the kindness he has received. He is providing free career counseling to aspiring NEET students. Besides counseling, he is also facilitating access to the SSKM OPD for disadvantaged patients from his area. Till date, he has helped five patients in this way.
Monisha Halder
Monisha Halder is pursuing B.Sc in Nursing from Shova Rani Nursing College, KPC Medical College and Hospital. She is currently in her 4th year. She resides with her parents and elder sister at Chaddarashi village, Taltala, Paik Para. Her father is a farmer and her mother is a homemaker. They work day and night so that their children can continue their education without any obstructions. But it is not possible for them to afford higher education for their two children.
Monisha’s parents advised her to apply to the Mukti TSS program for sponsorship. She applied and was selected. She is being sponsored by Mrs. Mohita Tagore and Mr. Surajit Sural.
Being a medical student, she loves to serve people in distress. With the help of her college, she has provided free health care facilities to 10 rural patients.
Mihir Baidya
Mihir Baidya is a BSc final year student studying in Sammilani Mahavidyalaya. He Stays at Jahar Colony village, P.O.- Jahar Colony, P.S. – S.B. Coastal. His family comprises his parents and elder sister. Being the sole earning member of the family, it is not possible for his father to arrange money for household expenses and higher studies for his children. In spite of this, his parents tried their best to protect their children from all other responsibilities and inconveniences, so that they could focus on their studies.
Observing Mihir’s hard work, AIDUCATE has selected him as their sponsored student through the Mukti TSS program.
Mihir is providing tuition to 8 students (6 at a token cost, and 2 free of cost), 4 days a week, 2 hours per day.
Monalisa Pandit
Monalisa Pandit is pursuing GNM 2nd year from Ramakrishna Sarada Mission Matri Bhavan School of Nursing. She lives with her parents and younger sister at Narayanpye village, Po-Namkhana of South 24 Parganas district. Her father has been working as a temporary school teacher without any fixed income and her mother is a homemaker. At present, her father is employed on a temporary contract at the ADO office. Her sister is a primary school student. The entire family is education-oriented and knows the importance of education. Her parents want her to be highly educated, but need help in making this desire a reality.
Mr. Saunak Bhattacharya came forward as a TSS sponsor to transform her dreams into reality, and today, with his help, she is chasing her dreams.
Monalisa has provided free textbooks, exercise books, pens, pencils etc to two school children as her contribution towards enabling children to pursue education.
