As per the schedule, the training on plumbing has been started from 8th November 2021, Monday at Uttar Kankandighi Mukti Support School. MUKTI in association with “Nagendrapur Ramkrishna Mission” and supported by “Jan Shikshan Sansthan” under the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt. of India providing vocational training to the unemployed, economically backward youth.
25 trainees, under the training of the trainer Mr. Debkumar Mondal from Nagendrapur Ramkrishna Mission are attending the classes three days per week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) from 12 noon to 4 pm. It will take 36 days to complete the course and approximately 3 months.
On the first day of training, they are provided a notebook, a pen, and a mask.
The program focuses on meaningful, industry-relevant, skill-based training of the students through a comprehensive syllabus covering theory and practice; it also provides life skills, entrepreneurial skills, and soft skills training to the students. The main focus of the course is to skill youth with the best plumbing practices, occupational health and safety, and water and energy conservation.
They will be taught – responsible for installation, minor repair and maintenance of pipes and sanitary fixtures in domestic, commercial and institutional setups.
The trainees will be offered a financial reward and a central government certification on successful completion of training and assessment, which will help them in securing a job for a better future.
