In the middle of COVID 19, another major disaster Cyclone Amphan, made landfall along the West Bengal and Odisha coast on 20th May 2020, Wednesday, directly moving in the path of tens of millions in India. Millions of people have been displaced and widespread destruction from heavy rain, powerful winds and storm surged in low-lying areas. Complete destruction of residential structures, including thatched huts, major damage to road network, collapse of infrastructure, loss of crops & livestock have been reported mainly in areas of West Bengal and Sunderban.

The volunteers from TCS associated with MUKT once again stood with the Amphan affected people of Jatragachi. TCS Volunteers geared up to reach such poor families for distributing shelter and care kits.
The relief operation for cyclone affected people was organised on 31st May Sunday 2020, where they distributed Rice, Dal, Potatoes, Onions, Oil, Salt, Soybean Packet, and Soaps to 100 families of Jatragachi. Previously two relief operations were organised, and this is the third time, TCS Volunteers of Mukti Jatragachi organised relief programs and total they have provided support to 240 families of Jatragachi. This is a small initiative of TCS VOLUNTEERS of Mukti Jatragachi centre to lend helping hand for the needy.
