Startup Aim of Mukti to Provide Primary Education at Purba Sridharpur During Lockdown

To ensure learning continuity for students who live in remote villages of Sunderban during the Covid-19 lockdown Mukti has organized “Mukti Community Study Center” for the students of class 1 to class 4.

As per the Government Guideline schools will be closed for an indefinite period of time. Rural villages of Sunderban with no or poor internet connectivity cannot arrange online classes for the students. The students need direct help of the teachers to continue their studies.

Mukti is aware of the fact that if the students don’t get help at this crucial time many of them will become school dropouts very soon. Mukti don’t want them to fall behind and don’t want them to keep away from their studies. This caused Mukti to organize “Mukti Community Study Center” for the elementary students.

How Mukti is encouraging these elementary students to continue their studies

At the very initial level Mukti has started 4 “Mukti Community Study  Center” at Purba Sridharpur under Nagendrapur Gram Panchayat and Mathurapur Block II. Mukti has an aim of 6 more such study support centers. Nearby centers are helping the students not to go too far for education.

In each center there is one teacher who teaches 10 students in one class. Mukti Community Study Support Centers are divided into two segments. One is morning session and other is the evening session. Pupils can attend one session each day. There are 20 students in each center and 80 students in all 4 centers. Students from class 1 to 4 attend the tuition.

Students are continuing their lessons without any fees. It’s totally a free of cost service of Mukti.

Why these study centers are necessary?

Though they attend the schools regularly but the present situation is restricting them to attend their classes.  The teachers of these centers are providing them necessary study materials and helping them with their lessons. If their parents face any difficulties the students can get that assistance from these centers. The teachers are preparing the students for future studies.

This attempt of Mukti has become so successful that more students are enrolling their names every day.
