Distinguished guests from all over the state have come at the invitation of Mukti to join the 18th Foundation Day celebration and enlivened the ceremony with their valuable speeches.
Mr. Samar Das from the NGO “Vivek Path” – “Those of us who are engaged in social service must not go into a frenzy from any provocation. We follow the words of Rabindranath “ Amar matha noto kore dayo he tomar choron dhular pore” (bow down my head, O God just like as dust of your feet). We are all involved in the struggle for life. In the struggle for life, we want to be free from poverty and ignorance. Mukti is with us as partners in this struggle. I have a lot of love and best wishes for Mukti.”
Mr. Madhusudhan Bairagi – Founder member of Mukti – “Mukti has been started its journey with 5-6 people. Now we have spread all over West Bengal. Just the way we have passed these 18 years, if we stay on the right path, a huge horizon can open up ahead. I urge all those involved with Mukti to move forward with restraint.”
Mr. Bijay Krishna Halder – Village Core Committee Member – “I have been with Mukti from its inception and I will stay and work till the end of my life. Model Village is one of the many projects of Mukti. All the people involved in this project are working as soldiers. Our aim is not only to create a model village but we want overall development where every person in the village will be benefitted. You stay on the side of Mukti and keep the organization moving forward, I hope so. I thank you for being by the side of Mukti.”
Mr. Prasanta Sarkhel – Ex-Chairman of Jayanagar Municipality – “On behalf of Jayanagar Municipality, I welcome everyone. My father teaches me about social service. Helping a person suffering from an incurable disease is the name of social service. I have got several opportunities to get close to Mother Teresa. I feel blessed to be in touch with Mukti. I have been encouraged to come here at the age of 83 because so many people came here for a noble cause. God bless you, be well and serve people in this way.”
Mr. Alok Jaldata – MLA of Raidigh i- “First of all, I would like to thank the release Mr. Sankar Haldar – President Founder of Mukti. We have been working together for several days for the development of our area. It is commendable that he has left the western country and come to his own country and is working for the development of the poor people here. Mukti NGO falls in my Raidighi assembly. I am so glad that I can do something for Mukti. I used to be associated with a charitable trust for several days. I am a government MLA. I have no hesitation in saying that some of the plans of the government but also inspired by NGOs. Apart from providing relief Mukti has distributed books to 1,500-1,600 students affected by the cyclones, distribution of Oxygen Concentrator Support has helped everywhere during the Covid period. As a representative of the government, I promise to help Mukti at my convenience.
Mr. Sukumar Halder – Chairman Jaynagar Majilpur Municipality – “Mukti is an organization where the problem of unemployment is eliminated, the poor get many opportunities. For this I thank Mukti. If Mukti conducts his activities in this way then many people will benefit. I express my sincere congratulations to Mukti Organization.”
Mr. Krishnendu Gosh – Social worker –“ I heard about Mukti from Mr. Chandan Maity and attended one program at Krishnachnadrapur. But I am overwhelmed to come here today. I am overwhelmed to know about so many projects of Mukti, associate partners, activities. The way Mukti is helping the people of the Sundarbans, who are economically weak and vulnerable due to fragile geography; to improve their quality of life is certainly commendable. I pray to the almighty to bless Mukti for the wellbeing of many people.”
Mr. Atanu Sarkar – I.C. of Jaynagar P.S – “I greet everyone who came to the ceremony. I am very happy to be present on the 18th foundation day of Mukti. I have been working as I.C. in Jayanagar for the last 3 years and I am aware of the projects of Mukti. I go to different places and hear about women’s empowerment but I don’t see much intention to work on the subject. Since I have the opportunity to talk to a lot of people, I understand the importance of women’s empowerment. All the women I have seen here – their presence, characteristic perseverance, their way of communicating – all prove that true women’s empowerment has come with Mukti. I am glad to see that the marginalized women of the village are standing in front of the stage holding microphone in their hands and speaking to their respective fields. This is how women are awakened. I hope that with the help of Mukti, women will be able to express their views in this way in the future as well and keep their rights intact. I am also grateful to Mukti for supporting us with the Oxygen Concentrators and other medical help during Covid situation. I think that the more this kind of organization grows, the more the society will be benefitted.”
Mr. Chandan Maity – General Secretary of ASFHM – “I think any great work is accomplished by the combined efforts of men and women. Let us not forget that Sankar Babu and his wife have an equal role to play in advancing Mukti. Without her support, it would not have been possible for Sankar Babu to work diligently. Debabrata Babu Sankar Babu’s brother leaves Cognizant and joins Mukti to serve the people. Satyajit babu apart from his job is relentlessly working for Mukti. He is conducting regular Yoga classes to make people healthy. He is brilliant in man-management. Shankar has transformed an entire village with his extraordinary passion and team spirit. Shankar whom we see today has been built by his father Sri Vijay Krishna Haldar. We want a father like him in every home. I salute this family who really has made the phase true “Charity begins at home” that can change the whole socio-economic aspect of a community. I hope Mukti will hold the hand of the next generation and will last for centuries.”
Mr. Khokon Mondal – social worker- “I have been associated with Mukti for over a year. I was looking for an oxygen concentrator during Pandemic. I told Samar Da of Vivek Path to help me and he introduces me to Sankar Da. I get the support of the concentrator and also a lot of help during Yaas, which I could not have imagined. Mukti has given us 26 concentrators. I am grateful for that. If Mukti flourishes, then the Sundarbans will prosper.”
Mr. Biplab Das – social worker of Kishalaya organization –“My vision is very similar to the vision of Mukti, so I try to attend every ceremony of Mukti. I identify myself with the activities of Mukti. We have just started the organic farming work that Mukti has started since 2003. There are many challenges in the Sundarbans. If we don’t have to do anabolic work first, we will be far behind. I and my organization will always be with Mukti.”
