Sankar Halder’s Speech on the Eve of 75th Anniversary of India’s Independence

On the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India’s independence Me, Sankar Halder is wishing you a prosperous year ahead. We are all standing at the preparative time of celebrating the 75th year of Independence Day. A long and unwavering struggle had been achieved on this special day. The brave patriotic who sacrificed their lives to free our country from the hands of the tyrant, with pride Mukti pays humble tribute to their vitality and their contribution.

Let’s all come together and celebrate the day. But what will be our vision while celebrating Independence Day? Can it be celebrated by only participating in rallies, delivering speeches, hoisting flags in our cars and roaming around, distributing sweets, eating meats – killing unnecessarily innocent animals for feast and talking about patriotism? No, it is not for the reason our patriots sacrifices their lives to free our country. The actual meaning of freedom is lying deep underneath. We have to realize the accurate meaning and nature of freedom only then the sacrifices of the brave freedom fighters of India will be successful. Let us come forward and take a pledge that we will try our best to reform the society.

We think freedom from the oppression of the dictator is not the only definition of freedom. The day when every human being of this society, of this country, does not have to struggle hard to fulfill the minimum needs like education, health, and livelihood – that day freedom will be fully fulfilled.

On the eve of 75 years of independence, let us rather discuss the current problems of India, then the direction of our work will come out. Countless unemployed young – our brothers and sisters roaming the streets looking for work, mothers worried about their families, fathers bedridden due to health system collapse, air poisoned where we can’t even breathe, food poisoning is affecting our health. Apart from the pandemics, frequent natural calamities are endangering our livelihoods every moment. This desperate fight against disasters for survival is making the human struggle more difficult. But the way out of this danger is not to fight with nature, but to protect the environment from the damage of mechanical development, to solve the problem through sustainable development in favor of nature. The farce is that despite being plagued by so many problems, we call ourselves independent and celebrate independence.  We “Mukti Sathi” call everyone irrespective of caste, age or gender to join us in the fight to get freedom from this oppressive environment.

Let us promise to try to find small solutions to the problems that exist throughout our country. The past 3 years of the pandemic have made us realize how weak the health system can become in such a difficult situation and how to deal with this complex situation. We have seen the entire society bewildered by the thought of how to deal with this complex situation, so we “Mukti Sathi” have taken a vow with the aim of establishing good health in the society. To keep us healthy; we will do physical exercise regularly and practice yoga. We expect that our farmers’ friends of our country will take an oath that they will produce poison-free organic crops, for themselves, for their children and for the countrymen.

Can’t we take this oath that we will educate our children with good education? Countless children have fallen behind in education since the pandemic. How will we get rid of this problem? In India where Rabindranath, Vidyasagar, Raja Rammohan Roy, Michael Madhusudan were born, the education system of the country has collapsed today. Nowadays, the existence of values education is almost extinct, but without real education, the backbone of the nation will not be strong. In addition to traditional education, if we do not teach them values, how will we or the country move forward? We will try to educate our own children with values and educate the children next door in this education. To free the country from corruption, we have to inspire our own children to become an ideal people and engage herself / himself in the service of the country. When everyone will be exposed to the light of education; the meaning of freedom will be fulfilled in a successful form.

While receiving education, financial constraints should not block education; we all “Mukti Sathi” have embarked on the struggle to show students and youth the path to real freedom through Kishalaya and Mukti Support Schools.  Therefore, on the occasion of Independence Day, Mukti calls upon all well-intentioned teachers of the society, who will join together and make the fight for Mukti more successful from this illiteracy.

Those of us who are entrepreneurs should not only look at profit but should look at the development of our country which is necessary such as roads, schools, colleges, infrastructure, we should focus on creating as many resources as possible and using the youth properly. The huge number of unemployed youth in our country sitting idly means their working ability has been unutilized. Using them to create the country’s wealth – is the biggest challenge for our country today. We vow to make that workspace for them. With the aim of getting freedom from economic distress, we have built a community business – where the entire profit will go directly back to the producer.  To free women from the money-lending business, we have built the “Mukti Community Development Fund” which is providing women a new way of livelihood.

Do you know what our biggest corruption is? It is not stealing other people’s money; it is then when we are not doing any productive activities at our workplace. We take pride in cheating our boss or owner when he is not monitoring our work. If we cheat people everywhere then how will the country progress? Let us take an oath that we will not cheat in our workspace- the country will progress automatically.
