Mukti’s first digital town-hall was held on March 3rd 2018 via Facebook Live. Intended to update on the work, challenges and support required – Mukti President and Secretary addressed the Mukti family. Mr. Asis Halder, Mukti secretary provided the project updates. Mr. Sankar Halder, Mukti President complemented with the initiatives. The duo spoke on how syllabus change is driving cost in Book Bank project, addressing coaching center enrollment fall, well running projects like TSS, MCDF and the recent invitation of RTI team to a seminar. They stated that Mukti is gradually coming out of the financial difficulties. We were excited to hear about Mr. Niladri Bagchi joining as the new treasurer of Mukti. They also informed about the new communication team and accountant. 3 new centers have been started such as Upohar, Tapovan, Newtown. TCS well wishers have been the backers here. Finally, Mukti President called for more volunteers so that we can sustain ongoing projects and expand to newer areas of work. Our secretary concluded the town hall thanking all volunteers and employees for their committed effort. This digital town hall was attended by significant number of participants from our village centers in the Sunderbans, various parts of West Bengal, Chennai, Trichy, Bangladesh, etc., thereby making it a success.
