Like the previous weeks, this week too Mukti is introducing some amazing TSS (Talented Student Sponsorship) students who have voluntarily accepted the service of weak and distressed people as their vow of life.
Mukti is proud of their work. Many more students are getting inspired after watching their social activities. They are indulging themselves in a noble gesture in working for others and are lending a helping hand to those who may not be as privileged as we are. Above all, they are raising themselves as real human beings.
Devlina Sannigrahi Teaching a Primary Student
Devlina is pursuing Chemistry (H) 1st year from Ramananda College Bishnupur. She lives with her parents at Malanchapara, College Road of Bankura District. Her father had an accident when she was a student in class nine. Her father got an injury in the spinal cord. Her father regularly takes medication according to the doctor’s advice. Her father has lost the ability to work since the accident. After covering his family expenses, medical expenses it is not possible for her father to continue his daughter’s education at a time. Despite their financial difficulties, her parents always inspire her to make her dream come true. To get the help of sponsorship, Deblina applied to Mukti TSS. She has been selected by Mr. Sankar Prodhan who is still supporting her to achieve her goals.
She is providing tuition to Subham Khan, a primary school student. She started to teach him in December 2021 and she has spent 25 hours teaching him. She is teaching him without any fees.
Soumen Kayal Protecting the Environment by Planting Trees
Soumen is a B. Tech, 2nd Year, 3rd Semester, Computer Science & Engineering student studying in Greater Kolkata College of Engineering and Management. He lives with his parents and his siblings at Uttar Kumrapara, Raidighi, South 24 Parganas District. He has a twin brother and an elderly sister. He and his brother are in the same standard from the same college whereas his elder sister is pursuing GNM. His father is a farmer and mother is a homemaker. His parents were so keen on their education that they sold their farmland to pay for their education despite their severe financial difficulties. While this can be a temporary help, it is not a sustainable solution. Soumen needed a kind person who could support his education. After applying to Mukti TSS he got selected by Mukti Australia.
From December 2021 to 18th January 2022, after working for 9.5 hours he has planted 32 saplings of different plants in his nearby locality. He plants the saplings on his own initiative, without any fees
Indrajit Halder Donated Blood to Save Life
Indrajit is the 1st. Professional MBBS from Midnapore Medical College and Hospital. He stays with his parents and sister at Mahamaya, P.O- Bairagirchak, P.S- Raidighi under South 24 Parganas District. Indrajit wants to be a doctor. For an economically backward farmer family, it is difficult to raise the cost of medical education where both the son and the daughter of the family are studying. Indrajith’s parents want to see him become a doctor. That is why accepting all kinds of inconveniences they have encouraged Indrajit to be focused on his dreams. Encouraged by his parents, after applying to Mukti TSS for sponsorship, he got Professor Pradeep Roy as her sponsor.
Being a medical student Indrajit knows the value of blood in crucial times. He doesn’t want any vulnerable to die for lack of blood. Thinking of them, in November 2021 he donated blood for the underprivileged patients at the blood donation camp of his own college.
Sushama Halder Making People Aware of Covid-19
Sushama is pursuing B.SC nursing 2nd year from the International Institute of Nursing &Research. She lives at Kankandighi, P. S – Raidighi under South 24 Parganas District. She belongs to a very poor family of 7 members. Her father is a farmer and also runs a tea stall. She is the eldest of her other two siblings. With a very low income, it is not possible for her parents to carry on their education at the same time. She needs one supporter to support her higher education. She was selected by Mukti TSS for the sponsorship. She is obliged to GSCA (Garden State Cultural Association) for helping her to pursue her studies.
She is making people aware of the ill effects of Covid-19 and therefore helping people to practice good habits such as washing hands and sanitizing. In doing so, in January 2022 she provided hand wash and sanitizer to a needy old woman.
