Mukti TSS : Sponsor – Students Meeting

The year 2020 has brought lots of calamities in the lives of the students all over India. Students suffered a huge loss in education during the lockdown caused by Covid -19. The academic sessions were put on hold; examinations were postponed or cancelled, leaving lakhs of students without any way out. All educational institutions were closed, and students were confined to their houses.

This year with Covid-19, natural disasters like cyclones and floods hit the final nail over the careers of the students by snatching their livelihood, their hopes, leaving them in devastation. Students with lesser academic support at home are left with no option and without any guidance for their studies.

Despite so many hurdles Mukti TSS students has marked their significant sign in their respective careers. Mukti patrons, sponsors, donors, volunteers and employees, like a family joined hands together to help the vulnerable to overcome the crisis by responding them through several relief works.

Mukti TSS team organized a student sponsor virtual meeting to ensure the careers of the students must not step behind and also give them assurance to stand by their side during this hard time. Not only the student, the meeting also helped the sponsor to have direct communication with the student; understand their background, family situations and their requirement of financial and motivational support.

The first such meeting was held on 19^th July, 20 Sunday at 5 PM with Mr. Rabindranath Ganguly, a sponsor with Mukti for more than a year. Mr. Ganguly is sponsoring Faruk Ahmed, 2^nd year MBBS student from “Institute of Post –Graduate Medical Education and Research”. It was during the meeting that Mr. Ganguly came to know about Faruk in detail. The student has passed his childhood in extreme poverty. His father was suffering from a critical illness and passed away without any treatment as the expenses were too high for his family to bear. The incident happened when he was too young to understand about the hardships of life. It shocked him so deep that he was determined to achieving his aim of becoming a Neurologist and serving the poor and needy.

 

The determination and the thirst to be successful in life of Faruk Ahmed made Mr. Ganguly so happy that he assured Faruk that his blessings and support will always be with him till he achieves his dream.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Another virtual meeting was organized between the sponsor Mr. and Mrs. Nirmalendu Dutta with their students, Shreya Ghosh and Soumyadeep Debnath. The meeting was held on 14^th August, 20, Friday at 4 PM. Mr. and Mrs. Dutta are associated with Mukti since last couple of years through the TSS project. Recently, 2 of their students who had appeared for Higher Secondary scored very good marks. This meeting gave the students to know their sponsors, seek blessings and discuss their future aim.

Shreya wants to study History honors and Soumyadeep aspires to be an engineer. Soumyadeep had queries for engineering course and seek advice on the roadmap and process to accomplish his goal. Dutta provided the necessary information and guidance for engineering to Soumyadeep.

Mr. and Mrs. Dutta were very delighted after the meeting with the students that they assured their full assistance and guidance to help them achieve their goals in life.

Such meetings motivate both the students and sponsors to build a strong bond among them. Both can share their experiences, their problems and how to overcome those, ambitions etc. Especially it motivated the students to remain focused at their goals.
