On the fateful evening of 20 May, 2020, the catastrophic super cyclone Amphan tore through West Bengal affecting the southern zone including Sunderban. Sunderban is undergoing one of the darkest days in history with super cyclone Amphan striking the state amid the aggravating COVID-19 pandemic.
Mukti volunteers have turned out to be good Samaritans for the poor and underprivileged who ran out of money and lost livelihood due to super cyclone AMPHAN for over a week. Mukti has started providing dry foods to the people who have lost everything because of the cyclone that ravaged the state after making landfall in the evening of 20th May and came out with a fresh idea of community kitchen.

The idea behind community kitchen is to provide free, nutritious food as a public service. Keumuri village is under Patharprotima Block and Herambogopalpur Gram Panchayat.
There are 16 centers of Mukti where they are running the community kitchen and everyday serving about 600 people. Keeping in mind the effect of Covid-19 Mukti volunteers have divided the cooks with 30 members in each group. Mukti is providing raw rations like rice, dal, mustard oil, potato etc.
Where there is a question of servicing the society Mukti is always right at the front.
