A lawn is an area where grass is grown as a green carpet for a landscape and is the basic feature of any garden. It serves to enhance the beauty of the garden, be it large or small. Proper lawn maintenance plays a crucial part in any landscape design. Mukti has planted Mexican grass in the lawn areas. It is the most popular grass and most commonly used in landscapes. It is well known for softness, longevity and easy maintenance.
To maintain the beauty of the landscape area Mukti is applying some techniques
- Mowing: Proper mowing is one of the most important practices in keeping lawn healthy. Mukti has bought a mowing machine to maintain the uniform growth of the grass. The machine will not allow the grass to grow more than 5-6 cm in length. Mr. Subhas Mandal and Mr. Jhantu Charan Maity are operating the machine.
- Feeding and Watering: Water requirement of lawn depends upon season, type of soil and grass. Mukti is watering the lawn area 3-5 days in a week. Mukti is irrigating the lawns with hose pipe. Along with watering Mukti is also feeding the grass with fertilizer for healthy growth.
- Weeding: One of the most important aspects of maintenance is the control of weeds. Without close attention or care a time will come when weeds will overcome the lawn grass, the soil will become sick, and the grass rough. In order to clean the weeds Mukti is removing all weeds with the roots in regular interval.
- Insect and Disease Management: Every 15 days Mukti is spreading pesticides in each of those lawn areas to protect the grass from pests and diseases. Mr. Jhantu Charan Maity and Mr. Birendranath Das regularly observe the grasses so that the lawns are beutiful throughout the year.
