So far Mukti has organized medical camps in the Yaas affected 95 villages covering 12 Blocks of Sundarban, Purba and Paschim Medinipur. 8290 patients received treatment and have recovered from illness. Mukti has planned to conduct 500 medical camps.
On a regular basis Mukti with “Rural Health Care Foundation”, “Kolkata Gives” and “Sundarban Foundation” are organizing these general health camps for the Yaas affected communities to make quality health care accessible to them. Outreach camps are conducted in the remotest villages, where the basic health care facilities are absent. These camps have become a lifeline for those villagers.
To make the villagers aware of the medical camp an announcement is conducted before each camp. One doctor, medical staff, data entry operator and Mukti volunteers are attending the patients in the camps. The poor, visiting these camps are getting free check-ups and treatment. Getting the appropriate kind of health checkup is vital and while considering it, some important factors like age, lifestyle, family background, and risks are taken into account.
Mukti medical camps make sure people are getting healthcare at the right time, and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious.
