Mukti, on 15th August 2021, Sunday celebrated India’s 75th Independence Day, marking the remarkable 200 years journey of a nation that emerged out of colonial oppression after a historic freedom movement. Mukti tribute the spirit of the freedom fighters – Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Khudiram Bose, Chittaranjan Das, Bal Gangadhar Tilak, Lala Rajpath Ray, Jotindronath Das, Birsa Munda, Sarojini Naidu, Matongini Hazra, Rani Lakshmi Bai of Jhansi and countless more martyrs.
On the morning of the 15th of August, with great vigor and stimulation Mukti hosted the tricolor national flag of India at 51 places (25 centers of Mukti Support School, 25 centers of Mukti Community Development Fund of different blocks and Mukti registered office at Purba Sridharpur under Raidighi PS) of Sundarban. The participation of thousands of people including students, teachers, parents, SHG members, Mukti officials, Mukti staff, Mukti volunteers,s and local villagers made the day more beautiful and memorable.
Even in the celebration of independence, Mukti did not forget about the existent problem of the Sundarbans. To protect the unfortunate people and to discuss the weak river embankments and the methods to keep them secure from the fury of nature Mukti, organized a seminar at Raidighi. At that meeting, the intellectual people expressed their valuable opinions on how the persistent problem of Sundarban can be solved. 200 audience eagerly listened to them and realized the issue.
Mukti has always tried to follow the thoughts, sacrifices, dedication, and values of the freedom fighters and inculcate them in the minds of the youth. This relentless effort for Mukti will continue in the future so that future generations can also follow the idealism of our freedom fighters.
