On 29th August Sunday evening at around 7:30 pm, Mukti officials reached Dulung Guest house in Jhargram. There they received a warm welcome from the ASFHM (Advanced Society of Headmaster and Headmistresses) members of Jhargram. At the end of the initial introduction
On 30th August Monday at 10 am the workshop of Mukti and ASFHM started at the community hall of Dulung Guest House. By lighting the lams the workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Shankar Haldar, Founder and President of Mukti and Mr.Chandan Kumar Maiti, State General Secretary of ASFHM. ASFHM members of Jhargram welcomed Mukti officials with a bouquet.
With Mukti officials, Mr. Tapan Kumar Dey ASFHM, Jhargram District’s Secretary and the President Dr. Mrinmoy Hota along with 50 Headmaster and Headmistresses of various schools of Jhargram attended the meeting.
Mr. Sankar Haldar and Mr. Satyajit Ray discussed in detail various projects of Mukti like Talented Student Sponsorship, Women Empowerment, Mukti Book Bank, Education and Empowerment, Agriculture, Reform, Livelihood and Economic Security, Environment Economy, Health, Water and Sanitation, Rights & Governance etc, in the workshop.
Mr. Tapan Kumar Dey ASFHM, Jhargram District’s Secretary in his speech said – Mukti has stood by the flood victims in East Medinipur, West Medinipur and Jhargram districts. Relief materials have been delivered to the flood-affected people. Headmasters and Headmistresses of ASFHM of Jhargram district have shouldered the responsibility of this work.
Social welfare is possible by fulfilling one’s responsibility in social work; it is possible to take the society forward.
Let the suburbs to remote villages be enlightened in the light of Mukti. He called everyone to come forward with a free mind.
After the meeting, Mukti officials started for Kolkata at around 7 pm.
