MSS Students Celebrated the 75th Independence Day

With great vigor and enthusiasm on 15^th August 2021, Sunday the students of MSS (Mukti Support School) celebrated the 75^th Independence Day at Sunderban. They paid tribute to all our freedom fighters.

2045 students of 21 MSS participated in the Independence Day Celebration Program. Early in the morning, the students reached their schools with their parents. Classrooms were decorated with tri-color ribbons, balloons and flags. They decorated the picture of the valiant freedom fighter, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose with flowers and garlands. Flag hoisting was done on grounds and the national anthem was sung. Their teachers explained the importance of Independence Day and told them the story of the sacrifices of the freedom fighters. Students showed their respect for the freedom fighters through speeches, dances, songs and poetry recitation.

 

Then, with the sound of a conch shell, the students with their parents marched around the village with flags in their hands. They were uttering the triumph of freedom. The Moring sky was blowing with the slogans of “Vande Mataram” and “Netaji-r Joy” (Netaji’s victory). At the end of the march, the students enjoyed their little refreshment which Mukti arranged for them. They returned home with lots of memories of an unforgettable day.
