To commemorate Netaji’s contribution to India’s struggle for independence, students and teachers of Mukti Support School celebrate Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthday on 23rd January. This year marked the 126th birth anniversary of the national hero. Owing to the legendary freedom fighter’s extraordinary grit and insurmountable contribution to the Indian freedom struggle, Netaji’s birthday is also observed as ParakramDiwas.MSS organized special events to celebrate the day.
Approximately 3,420 students and 285 teachers of 57 MSS gathered at their schools early in the morning. They adorned photos of Subhas Chandra Bose with garlands, sang the national anthem, and took part in cultural events.
Teachers motivated the students by depicting Bose’s life and his contribution towards freedom. They spoke about how, in order to liberate India from British rule, Netaji led the Indian National Army, also known as the Azad Hind Fauj, in 1943.
After the program, students enjoyed a snack together.
