Mukti celebrated the 19th Foundation Day on 5th March 2023 at Rajpur of South 24 Parganas district. It was a fabulous event organized at Rabindra Bhaban with the participation of 600+people including Mukti volunteers, staff, teachers of MSS (Mukti Support School), Kishalaya School, MIT (Mukti Information Technology), SAM (Sustainable Agricultural Movement) farmers, MCD (Mukti Community Development Fund) members, local authorities, political personalities, social workers, Mukti partners and hundreds of well-wishers of Mukti. The day was an opportunity for Mukti family members to come together and celebrate the proud history with the community, employees and supporters.
The program started at 9 AM and continued till 6 PM. People from different parts of West Bengal and abroad traveled a long distance to celebrate the event. The well-wishers of Mukti those who are residing abroad and could not attend in person attended the ceremony online. With the self-motivated cooperation of all the participants, the event proved to be a grand success.
Along with Mukti Executive Board Members, the distinguished guests Mr. Sourav Bajpai from SIDBI (Small Industrial Bank of India), Dr. Ramjiban Maity– Advisory member of Integrated Development of Purba Medinipur, Ms. Sohini Mehta – TSS donor Urmi Roy and Soumitra Bose, Mr.Chandan Maity – General Secretary of ASFHM State committee and Headmaster of Kirshnachandrapur High School, Mr. Partha Mukherjee from AID (Association for India’s Development), Mr. Samar Das – from Bibek Path, Dr. Arivinda Shaw- Professor of Raidighi College and Mr. Sanjib Tayal – TSS donor ornate the event with their gorgeous presence. Besides, other NGOs, local stakeholders, representatives from Banks, and media reporters were also present.
196 MCDF members from 27 branches (Krishnachandrapur, Raidighi -I, Kankandighi, Itkhola, Laxminarayanpur, Sonatikary, Purba Sridharpur, Koutala, Radhakantapur, Debipur, Jalaberiya, Kakdwip, Brajaballavpur, Namkahana, Manirtat, Purnachandrapur, Canning -I, Basanti, Baikunthapur, Bhubaneswari, Deulbari, Patharpratima, Jaynagar – I, Herambogopalpur, Sahara, Salikota, Kesiary) along with their Presidents attend the program.
180 participants (teachers and students) from 19 MSS centers (Purba Shridharpur, Damkal, Borodanagar, Jogendrapur, Uttor Kankandighi, Purojota, Sagar, Kakdwip, Gilerchat, Patharpratima, Canning, Egra, Sutabecha, Gopalnagar, Laxmijanardanpur, Deulbari, Santoshnagar, Kankpukur, Madhusudanchak) participated in the program.
9 teachers of Kishalaya Support School were present.
46 SAM (Sustainable Agricultural Movement) farmers and staff from Nagendrapur and Kankandighi GP attended the program Foundation Day.
47 staff of Go Green, Housing Project and Model Village from 4 villages (Nagendrapur, Damkal, Purba Sridharpur and Baradanagar) participated in the program.
The foundation day of Mukti gave us an opportunity to acknowledge some of the tough times we have faced and the incredible ways we have bonded together as an organization. Celebrating the day is a chance to remind everyone about the humble beginnings of the organization.
