MCDF Members and MSS Students Celebrate Rabindra Jayanti 2023

The Namkhana branch of Mukti Community Development Fund (MCDF) celebrated Rabindra Jayanti with great fervor on May 9th, 2023. Thirty-five people, including MCDF members and their families, paid tribute to the renowned poet Rabindranath Tagore. The younger members of the families showcased their talents in song, dance, and comedy with a performance of “Pete Pithe,” while the women members of MCDF performed a play called “Dakghar.” The event was a beautiful amalgamation of different age groups and showcased a deep appreciation for Tagore’s literary works. The event highlighted the community’s love and admiration for the great poet, making it a truly memorable occasion.

Mukti Support School students from classes V to X recently celebrated Rabindra Jayanti with great enthusiasm and zeal. Rabindra Jayanti marks the birth anniversary of the famous Bengali poet and Nobel laureate, Rabindranath Tagore. The celebration began with a special assembly where the students recited Tagore’s poems and songs, and performed various cultural programs like dances and skits inspired by his works. The students also decorated their classrooms with handmade art and crafts inspired by Tagore’s literature. The celebration not only showcased the students’ creativity and talent but also fostered a love for literature and culture. Overall, it was a memorable day that will remain etched in the students’ minds for years to come.
