09:00 AM IST: Very Severe Super cyclone named ‘Cyclone Yaas’ is heading towards Bengal with a ferocity that will parallel Amphan. Agencies reported that a low depression formed in the East Central Bay has turned into a ‘super cyclone’ which will make landfall near to Sundarbans.

Before its landfall, the effect has begun. The powerful wind has made the sea level rise high and saline water is entering the villages by breaching the river embankments. Roads are appearing as rivers. Villagers are struggling to save the embankments by sacrificing their own lives. 90% of the fertile lands with crops have been destroyed.

Villagers get shelters in the various rehabilitation centers of Mukti. Mukti volunteers by maintaining all the protocol of Covid-19 are engaged in taking care of them.
