The incubator machine that MUKTI installed in the house of Mrs. Bhadduri Purkait (MUKTI Sathi) in Mukti gram on December 2020 is working successfully. Mrs. Bhadduri Purkait is the supervisor of the hatching process and she also takes care of the machine.162 of Kadaknath and 1351 Kuroiler chicks have been hatched to date.
The previous month on 28th October 2021, Thursday, 300 pieces of KuroilerKurioler chicken eggs has been put in the incubator machine for hatching.
The incubator is basically a box that holds eggs while maintaining an appropriate temperature, humidity, and oxygen level. The machine includes automatic turners, humidifiers, and temperature controllers.
Kuroiler chicken won’t support hatching. They don’t sit on eggs. So, the eggs need to be hatched by an incubator. After 14-15 days the eggs will be hatched. The chicks will mature between two and four months and will weigh between 2 and 3 kilograms.
These chicks after hatching will be distributed to the interested MCDF members of Purba Sridharpur. If the women of other branches of MCDF are also interested, MUKTI will help them by providing chicks. By rearing these chickens, they can become self-sufficient.
One of their reared chickens weighing 2 kg has to be returned to Mukti.
