Ground Breaking Ceremony for Mukti SAM Office

The President of Mukti Mr. Sankar Halder along with the invitee, MSS students, Mukti volunteers and the villagers participated in the groundbreaking (Bhoomi Puja) ceremony of Mukti SAM Office at model village on 21^st January, 2021. Mukti dedicated the future building not only to the farmers but to the residents of the villages. People can’t use the proposed “Community Hall” for their personal purpose (marriage, birthday celebration etc) but for the purpose of the community (conference, seminars, trainings etc) they can use it.

 

People started to gather from 6:30 AM. With the participation of 400 people the ceremony started from 7 AM. With the sound of the conch shell MSS students greeted our honorable guests with rose, badge and chandan.  After lighting the lamp (Pradeep)  the Purohit (Priest) started the Bhoomi Puja and the laborers were there to lay the foundation with bricks.

 

 

As Mukti had dedicated the building to the villagers so Mukti wanted all of them who were present at the ceremony to write their names on the bricks. Those bricks were used as the foundation of the proposed building.

5-6 Mukti supporters from USA attended the ceremony virtually. Mukti volunteers showed them the whole area. They gave speech and Mukti volunteers arranged for mike so that everyone can hear them. They talked with the villagers also. They felt honoured to attend the ceremony and assured their assistance.

 

The speech giving ceremony started after the virtual meet. The President Mr. Sankar Halder, Mr. Biswanath Mondal, Mr. Madhusudhan Bairagi, the President of Gram Panchayat Mrs. Arjina Biwi explained why Mukti is building the office and with what purpose.

The ceremony ended with distribution of Payesh and some small snacks. The program ended at 11 AM.
