Food Distribution Program at Sonarpur by Mukti During Covid-19
As the COVID-19 crisis continues to loom over us, Mukti has begun relief service by providing packed grocery kits to the marginalized and low-income segment of the society.
Mukti has organized a food distribution program at Sonarpur. Subhaspally and Sumonpurkhurigachi are the villages under Sonarpur where Mukti has provided essentials to the affected communities and frontline workers. At Subhaspally 113 families and at Sumonpur Khurigachi 13 families were given grocery items and masks. Most of the people earns their livelihood by pulling rickshaw or daily workers. Due to lockdown their income has come to an end and they are in severe poverty. Mukti stretched hand to help these people.
The Grocery kit contains Rice- 5 Kg, Dal (Lentils)- 1 Kg, Potato- 2 Kg, Mustard Oil-1 Ltr, Salt-1 Kg, Soap-1 Piece and Masks- 4 pieces.
