Mukti organized a cervical screening program at the Mukti Raidighi Office on the 18th of July 2023, to raise awareness about cervical cancer and its early detection.
With the compassionate support of the Kolkata Foundation and the tireless efforts of the K.K Chatterjee Memorial Association, the event aimed to empower women with vital knowledge about cervical cancer and the life-saving technique of Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) for early detection. A united effort to safeguard women’s health has made a profound difference in the lives of many.
The session witnessed the participation of thirty-two women from the Self-Help Group (SHG) community. Their presence exemplified the strength of solidarity and the determination to protect personal well-being.

As part of Mukti’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of the women involved, all beneficiaries were provided with complimentary consultancy, medications, and testing. The program’s ethos was to remove any barriers to access, ensuring that women could seek help without financial burdens hindering their path to health.
The ambiance at the event was one of warmth and empathy, as healthcare professionals, volunteers, and participants alike joined hands to combat cervical cancer.
