On the month of November Mukti distributed winter vegetable seeds to the landless farmers. The initiative by Mukti were for those farmers who live on the river boundary and can’t grow vegetables due to the salinity of the land.
Mukti supported those farmers to plough those vegetable seeds by providing them crate. Mukti also provided them fresh soil. 200 landless farmer families received 1,000 crates (each got 5). The crates are of 2 feet -1 feet width and 1 feet height. The reason for this is that large pots hold more soil and will hold moisture longer so you don’t have to water frequently. The small pores of the crate will allow water to drain well.
Farmers of Nagendrapur Adibasipara, Dakshin Kankandighi Adibasipara and Purba Sridharpur received the crates.
The program was started from 30th November and took 3 days to complete.
