In a collaborative effort, the K.K Chatterjee Memorial Association joined forces with Mukti and Kolkata Foundation to organize a significant event focused on raising awareness about cervical cancer and promoting early diagnosis among women. The event, titled “Cervical Cancer Awareness and Early Diagnosis in Women,” took place at the Mukti Raidighi Office on the 26th of June. A total of thirty-eight women from Swastha Shongini and Sahoshini actively participated in the session, where Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) was utilized to detect any signs of the disease. The testing phase was conducted by highly skilled doctors from the prestigious Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute, based in Kolkata. Out of the attendees, twenty-two women underwent the VIA test, enabling them to proactively address their health and potentially detect cervical cancer at an early stage.
This collaborative effort between various organizations showcased the collective dedication to promoting women’s health and striving for early detection, ultimately aiming to combat cervical cancer effectively.
