Bani Kumar Maity Visited MSS and Kishalaya Schools of Purba Medinipur

Mr. Bani Maiti – a social worker and the pioneer of integrated development of East Medinipur, visited 2 Kishalaya schools and 6 Mukti support schools of Sahara Gram Panchayat from 21st to 24th of September 2022. The visit has been conducted to review the present status of MSS and Kishalaya schools, to ensure the student’s needs, parents’ satisfaction and teachers’ proficiency and to maintain an up-to-mark infrastructure.

Mr. Maiti interacted with students and stressed focusing on curriculum and co-curricular activities as well so that students excel in academics. Besides, he asked the students about their needs. Students told him they wanted to learn some extracurricular activities (dance, singing, drawing etc). In rural areas, they cannot learn them due to a lack of skilled teachers in these subjects. Students want teachers to learn these subjects. Students of classes XI and XII classes have requested computer and spoken English classes.

MSS conducts a pre-test before 10 days of school examination to help the students perform well in the school examination. The process makes the students fearless and relaxed in the examination hall. Parents have expressed their satisfaction regarding the process. They appreciated Mukti for helping disadvantaged students with textbooks and other study materials and for the healthy food provided to students at breakfast. Parents expressed gratitude to Mukti for keeping the students fit and healthy by doing yoga exercises at Mukti Support School.

To increase teachers’ proficiency Mukti has introduced value education training for them. Teachers have realized the compatibility of the training and they want Mukti to conduct the training every month.

Mr. Maiti has listened to all of them and assured them that Mukti will take the necessary initiatives to resolve the problems as soon as possible.
