MUKTI Annual Sports Meet 2011-2012

Annual Sports Meet 2011-2012 was collectively organized by MUKTI and the local committee for the Primary Education (Nagendrapur Anchal Prathamik o Sishu Siksha Kendra and Kankandighi Anchal Prathamik Siksha Samiti) in Nagendrapur and Kankandighi GPs.

In Nagendrapur around 550 students from 20 schools had participated in the event. There were 54 teachers, 71 local representatives and 38 volunteers, who helped conducting the whole event. The daylong sports event was ended by the prize distribution ceremony. The chairman concluded the function with the assurance note of organizing such events every year.

In Kankandighi children from 16 schools had participated in the event. It was opened by Mr. Amay Sardar, Head of Kankandighi GP. The chairman and chief guest were Mrs. Bijali Sarder, member of the GP and Mr. Uday Chandra Mandal, Head of Education (Siksha Karmadhakhya) of the GP, respectively.

It was a different day for the villagers. Lots of enthusiastic local people and parents gathered to witness the event. Everyone enjoyed the event thoroughly. All of them admitted that they need such cultural events to be organized every year. Annual Sports Meet is an essential event because sports are not only an entertainment but it also improves physical and mental health of the students.
