ACV Project’s Research Journey: Navigating Challenges, Creating Impact

Members of the Amplifying Community Voices (ACV) project’s Participatory Action Research Group have been diligently investigating pressing issues within their respective areas. Armed with a profound understanding of these challenges, they take proactive measures to address them, collaborating with local organizations, NGOs, and even government entities.

In the Herembagopalpur Gram Panchayat, the ACV group has manifested into two distinct research teams. The first comprises 20-25 dedicated women, delving into the perplexing matter of pregnant women deprived of the government’s free ambulance service in Dakshin Kashinagar. The second team, consisting of 18-19 individuals, focuses its efforts on the intricacies surrounding river dams in Kuyemuri.

Over the course of the past year, these teams have undertaken a diverse array of research endeavors. They have meticulously gathered data, conducted comprehensive surveys, and shared their findings with the local Panchayat to shape future strategies. Additionally, they embarked on enlightening exposure visits to other regions, augmenting their insights. Their collective dedication allowed them to meticulously dissect the underlying causes of these issues.

The culmination of their year-long endeavors takes shape in a “river of life” – a meticulous documentation process at the community level. Through this innovative approach, they have meticulously charted their progress, highlighting the milestones achieved and the challenges confronted throughout their journey over the past year.
