Community Care: Orthopaedic Camp at Mukti Gram Clinic
Mukti and the West Bengal Orthopaedic Association jointly organized the second orthopedic camp on 30th July 2023 at the Gram Clinic, Mukti Gram, Purba Sridharpur. The event was a seamless combination of resources and expertise of Mukti’s Swastha Shongini and Gram Clinic projects.
The Swastha Shongini women and the Mukti Gram Clinic’s traditional healer, Barun Kayal worked together to rally the community and secured the participation of 70+ patient-beneficiaries.
The patients were treated by two renowned orthopedic specialists, Dr. Sunny Kr Mallick and Dr. Aniruddha Bhattacharjee, from the R G Kar Hospital. To complement the medical treatments, a physiotherapist was present to demonstrate various pain-management techniques to manage discomfort and enhance recovery. Mukti provided free medication to all the patients attending the camp. This endeavor had a profound impact, leaving a lasting impression on the hearts of both the organizers and beneficiaries.
