Job Opening for Mukti Accountant

Mukti is currently seeking an experienced and energetic Accountant to join the Accounts team and closely working with the project teams. The position will report to the Finance Manager. The position will be based in our Kolkata office but require traveling to the project sites as and when required. These are currently in the Sundarbans and other districts of West Bengal.

Key job areas :

• Prepare, analyse and present monthly financial statements and cash flow forecasts for the Board & management teams.
• Maintain the books of accounts under TALLY and lead the statutory audit function.
• Collaborate with project teams across the organisation and support with analytical reports on donor funding vs budgets.
• Track, review and scrutinise expenditures related to project and administrative expenditures to ensure minimum costs for the NGO.
• Support the Finance Manager in various statutory & fiscal submissions relating to income tax and FCRA and preparation/ checking of the payroll.
• Reconcile on a monthly basis the NGO’s bank accounts especially the various FCRA receipt & utilisation accounts as per directed norms.

 

Experience & Qualifications

• An MCom/ BCom degree. An inter-CA/ CMA will be preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office & TALLY software.
• Familiarity with FCRA submissions
• Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience, especially in the not-for-profit sector.
