Beneficiaries of Jatragachi Selling Their Products in Local Shop
Products made by the underprivileged rural women of Jatragachi center under the “Karigari” and “Hasthshilp” projects have been provided a market link by Mukti this festive season of Durga Puja. The training program has been conducted by NDWML (Naba Diganta Water Management Limited) and Flipcart.
A local vendor has been contracted to sell their produce collectively. At the very initial stage 4 Jute dolls, 10 soft toys, 4 pairs of decorative candles and 4 pairs of jute-made slippers are being displayed for sale. Locals are appreciating the products and members are happy with the sales. The products are attracting many customers there.
Beneficiaries are saying that such initiatives of Mukti besides providing market links and a financial boost are helping to build confidence among the members.
