Mukti Creating Flowerbed Along the River Embankments
After the onset of the monsoon, Mukti started a massive plantation drive in Sundarban. The plantation is meant for beautification and creating a flowerbed in the villages. In addition to creating orchards, Mukti along the river embankment of Damkal Simanar Ghat and Bhagar Khal is creating a hedge of flowering plants.
With the starting of the plantation drive on 4th July 2022 Mukti has planted 1880 Nayantara of pink and white colour, 3700 hibiscus and 860 Latana saplings along 2060 feet river embankment of Simanar Ghat.
Along the 760 feet, of river embankment of Bhagar Khal 1600 hibiscus saplings have been planted.
Besides, the beautification of the plantation drive will help to reduce environmental pollution and the initiative is generating a livelihood for the MCDF (Mukti Community Development Fund) members too.
