Mukti Craft Participates in The “Hasto Silpo Mela” , 2021
Like every year this year too the Government of West Bengal has organized “Hasto Siplo Mela” (Handicrafts Fair) at Eco Park near Gate No 1, New Town, Kolkata to the thousands of artists from rural Bengal to showcase their handicrafts. The Mela starts from 27th November 2021, Saturday and will end on 20th December 2021, Monday and it will be open from 1 pm to 8 pm.
This year Mukti Craft participated in the Mela to promote the self-help group members of Mukti Craft Jatragachi Center so that they can put up their handicrafts for display and sale in the urban areas. Their own handmade soft toys such as dogs, dolphins, ducks, Keyrings, Giraffe, Zebra, Horse, Rabbit, Elephant, Swan etc. are being sold at the fair.
Every day people who value handicrafts and are attracted to them are coming to visit the stall of Mukti. More than 100 pieces of toys have been sold in the fair The money earned in the fair will be used for the betterment of these women.
