Mukti Community Kitchen: Serving Yass Hit Vulnerable with Nutritious Food

From the last two weeks Mukti community kitchens had served 38998 Yaas affected hungry people covering 18 Blocks of Sundarban and Purba Medinipur with good quality food.

The Community kitchens have been instrumental in helping Mukti to reach the Yaas survivors. With the help of the local Mukti volunteers and the supporters, Mukti has been supplying freshly-cooked meals prepared in one time a day. In the areas where there isn’t any possibility to set up community kitchen, there Mukti is delivering the cooked food on a van.

Male and female cook are working together in these kitchens. In each kitchen 6-7 cooks are involved. The initiative and food quality have been appreciated by the survivors. The increasing number of meals consumed every day is proof of this.

Mukti is working tirelessly to ensure that every survivor gets a full-stomach meal. Our generous supporters AID, Kolkata Gives, RHCF, ASFHM, and Asha for Education are helping Mukti in the endeavor.

While feeding the hungry Mukti volunteers are maintaining the Covid protocols as much as possible. With the food Mukti Community Kitchens are also awaring the villagers about Covid-19 and how to fight against it.
