Mukti believes that the economic empowerment of rural women is key to all-round sustainable development. Mukti organised a short skill-based training workshop that would help to yield a business profit for the small-scale industry.
On 1st December 2018, Mukti had organised a 2-day training on Dhup (incense-stick) making. Another training on Tailoring was held from 8th December 2018 to 10th January 2019 at Sonatikari, West Bengal. Twenty-two and eighteen women, respectively, attended both the training. Kalipada Jatua was the trainer for Dhup-making and Jalil Mondal for tailoring.
The training boosts the confidence of all the women to start their micro business, once they receive the start-up capital. They expect that the returns from their venture will not only help them in achieving personal financial independence but it also helps them to provide better education and amenities for their children.
