A Day of Healing: MUKTI’s Free Medical Camp for Women in Howrah

On the 22nd of July 2023, MUKTI organized a free medical camp at Banganpur Jyotirmoyee Girls High School, situated under Banganpur G.P, Howrah. This humanitarian endeavor was made possible through the CSR initiatives of “Geo Nutri Foods Pvt Ltd”, showcasing the power of collaboration between public and private sectors.

The event was graced by the presence of individuals from MUKTI, including Mr. BidyutSanpui, the Project coordinator of the organization, SonamonBasu, the Health Program Manager, and Mr. Atanu Ghoshal, a volunteer whose dedication truly made a difference.

Starting at 1 p.m, the day-long camp proved to be of immense benefit to both school students and community women. The turnout was impressive, with numerous visitors seeking assistance with various health concerns, particularly related to reproductive tract infections (RTI), irregular and painful periods, vaginal discharge, excessive bleeding, ovarian cysts, lower back pain, joint pain, skin diseases, and gastrointestinal issues.

The experienced medical professionals, Dr. Namita Datta, and her assistant Mita Parui, took on the responsibility of diagnosing the patients with care and precision. They offered their expertise in identifying the root causes of ailments and prescribed the necessary medications accordingly.

In addition to addressing specific health issues, the medical team also took into account the overall well-being of the attendees. They diligently examined their weight and blood pressure, ensuring a comprehensive approach to healthcare. The patients were then provided with the essential medicines based on the accurate diagnoses, relieving many from their health burdens.

The impact of this medical camp was significant, with a total of 40 females benefiting from the expert medical care and compassionate support extended by MUKTI organization, along with the invaluable assistance from Geo Nutri Foods Pvt Ltd.

Such initiatives not only contribute to the physical well-being of the community but also foster a sense of unity and compassion, uplifting the spirits of all involved. It is through collective efforts like these that positive changes ripple through society, touching the lives of those in need with hope and healing.
