In commemoration of International Yoga Day 2023, Mukti orchestrated a grand Yoga extravaganza that transcended boundaries and united the Mukti family in a harmonious celebration. The event witnessed an impressive gathering of participants, including students from Mukti Support School and Mukti Kishalaya Support School, dedicated teachers, members from MCDF, Sahosini, and SwasthoSongini, all coming together to prioritize their physical and mental well-being through the ancient practice of Yoga.
From the crack of dawn until dusk, starting at 6 am, the atmosphere buzzed with energy as individuals immersed themselves in a variety of yoga disciplines, embracing the art of asanas, pranayama, freehand exercises, and meditation. It was truly awe-inspiring to witness the unwavering enthusiasm of both rural women and young children as they wholeheartedly engaged in the practice of Yoga. A total of 4092 people (3844 students + 248 teachers) from MSS, 494 people (449 students +45 teachers) from MKSS, 23 TSS students along with 230 Sahosini and MCDF members, and 15 Swastho Songini members, guided 120 villagers, encompassing both children and adults.
Under the captivating theme of “Yoga for VasudhaivaKutumbakam” – signifying that the entire Earth is our own kin – the participants embarked on a transformative journey towards holistic wellness. However, Mukti’s commitment to their beneficiaries extended beyond this momentous day. Understanding the long-term benefits of Yoga, Mukti has thoughtfully organized a 21-day Yoga session to ensure sustained well-being for all those involved.
By embracing Yoga’s profound teachings and bringing together diverse communities, Mukti exemplified the spirit of unity and underscored the importance of self-care and a healthy lifestyle. This event not only celebrated International Yoga Day but also laid the foundation for a future where physical and mental health are prioritized, nourishing the collective well-being of all.
