Mukti organised an exhibition (Sunderban Mukti exhibition) from 23rd January which lasted till 27th January 2019. On the 2nd day of the exhibition i.e. on 25th, January Mukti conducted its 8th Bi-Annual General Meeting at 10 am in Kankandighi Kapat Ashram.
There were 88 members present in the meeting including Sankar Halder – President, Asis Halder – Secretary, Timir Bhattacharyya – Treasurer, Nimai Chand Pradhan an ex-teacher & Mukti volunteer, Anil Das an ex-teacher & Mukti volunteer, Nirapada Debnath an ex-teacher & Mukti volunteer, Bijoy Krishna Halder Mukti volunteer, Dulal Mondal – Mukti volunteer, Panchu Gopal Halder a teacher & Mukti volunteer, Chittaranjan Neogi a teacher, Kamal Krishna Purkait, Haripada Halder, Joy Bhattacharyya poet, Rekha Roy social worker , Iachin Gaji, Monoranjan Dey and Rajani Kopat – social worker. There were some other guests who could not make themselves present physically but actively took part in the meeting via Skype. Virtual attendees were Gora Sengupta, Pradeep Roy, Abir Biswas, Debabrata Halder, Robin Saha, Uttam Sengupta and Satyajit Roy.
The main objective to conduct this meeting was to dissolve the board and form a new board of trustee and discussions on the overall performances of Mukti its progress, challenges to overcome, new development areas & future plans.
After the discussions & review on the progress of the various project activities of Mukti, Sri Sankar Halder president of Mukti as per the norms dissolved the existing board and formed the new board. The following names were suggested for the new Board of Trustees for the year 2019 – 21:
