01. Why the Program is?

● To introduce sustainable farming practices in disaster-prone regions like Sundarbans for post-disaster land reclamation and sustainable livelihoods.
● To implement agricultural reforms to improve food and livelihood security for low-income communities in river basins.
● Transition from chemical-intensive farming to organic farming to improve soil health, increase yields, and enhance farmers’ socio-economic conditions.
● To promote community-based sustainable agriculture to ensure fair prices for organic produce and establish direct connections between farmers and consumers.
● To provide training for setting up organic kitchen gardens to supplement nutrition and promote self-sufficiency, even for landless families.
● To implement agricultural reforms to promote sustainability, improve consumer well-being, and foster a community of health-conscious individuals.

03. What is the Objective?

● To develop and implement sustainable farming practices that help reclaim land affected by natural disasters, and provide a reliable means of livelihood to impacted farmers.
● To design and introduce initiatives that improve food and livelihood security for low-income communities who heavily rely on agriculture.
● To implement reforms that encourage a transition towards organic farming, thereby improving soil health, promoting better crop yields, and enhancing socio-economic conditions for farmers.
● To establish programs that provide training for setting up organic kitchen gardens, enabling even landless families to supplement their nutritional intake and improve their self-sufficiency.
● To support local farmers by providing a fair price for their organic produce, and to promote community-based sustainable agriculture that directly connects farmers and consumers.
● To introduce agricultural reforms that promote sustainability, enhance the well-being of consumers and the planet, and foster a community of health-conscious individuals.

05. How we are working ?

A dedicated implementation team is involved in the successful delivery of the programs, where a dedicated team of 25 people working towards achieving the program objectives. A dedicated program manager and a team of experts and supervisors are responsible for overseeing the program implementation. One of the key aspects of the program is to develop a Training of Trainers (ToT) model, enabling the dissemination of knowledge and expertise to a broader audience.
