Objectives of the Projects:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Amplifying Community Voices –\u00a0 <\/strong>Helping to develop community leadership to ensure a rights-based community-led approach for sustainable development in Patharpratima Heramba Gopalpur GP.<\/p>\n

Mukti Voice –<\/strong> Developing a Gender lens among women’s community to address and reduce gender discrimination at various levels in society – project area – 20 villages in Mathurapur II block.<\/p>\n

Shahoshini –<\/strong> To reduce gender-based violence\/domestic Violence through a capacity-building program led by women groups. Project area – Mathurapur I, II, Patharpratima, Jaynagar I, II and Kultali Block area.<\/p>\n

Impact Created Since Inception:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • The community became more aware of their rights. A basic gender lens has developed among women and adolescent groups through the support of the ACV project.<\/li>\n
  • Women started challenging the existing gender Social norms on a personal level.<\/li>\n
  • Community people especially men became gender sensitive and gradually created fair opportunities for women in terms of decision-making, opinion sharing in community meetings, adopting new livelihoods etc.<\/li>\n
  • community people are gradually taking initiative to increase accountability of different stakeholders\/duty barriers through community-led advocacy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Notable Achievements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • We are able to reach around 540 community people in Heramba Gopalpur GP through empowerment programs.<\/li>\n
    • 6 community-led \/ women-led programs were organized under ACV and Voice.<\/li>\n
    • More than 55 people are taking an active role in Community-led Advocacy.<\/li>\n
    • Through the Gender sensitization program of the Mukti Voice project, we are able to reach more than 250 women in the Mathurapur II block.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n\n\n

      		Livelihood-related training under ACV<\/strong><\/td>\nCapacity building program under ACV<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
      2 training conducted on women’s rights and gender-based violence<\/td>\n4 Awareness campaign organised by WAG with 1400 audience.<\/td>\n13 Gender Sensitization training conducted with 20 women action group members<\/td>\n3 community-led events organised by the community members of Heramba Gopalpur GP<\/td>\n16 training conducted for skill building to adopt additional sustainable livelihood<\/td>\nIn the last year\u00a0 around 180 capacity-building programs were conducted among Heramba Gopalpur community members to raise rights-based awareness<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

      Community-led action on Gender Discrimination<\/strong><\/td>\nMore advocacy to resolve local issues<\/strong><\/td>\nMore people will adopt additional sustainable livelihood for better living<\/strong><\/td>\nWomen will start taking action to reduce gender-based violence<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
      The community especially youth and women collective will take an active role to reduce gender discrimination under ACV and Voice project<\/td>\nIssues regarding drinking water, road, river embankment, and Health services will be resolved through community-led advocacy<\/td>\nThrough the ACV project, Govt networking, and linkages will be created to create more livelihood opportunities for community people to reduce vulnerability<\/td>\nThrough the Shahoshini project, women will be capacitated enough to reduce violence in their own lives<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
