<\/p>\nA pleasant cultural program was performed in the evening by \u201cMukti Sathi\u201ds of Mukti Gram. Yoga dance – Natya (Ms. Tiyasha Pradhan), Santali dance, solo song (Ms. Subhashree Bairagi), solo dance (Mr. Sangeeta Bera), drama and \u201cPutul Naach\u201d \/ Puppet show were performed.<\/p>\n
Santali Dance \u2013 6 female dancers wearing red-bordered white saree won the hearts of people by dancing to the beat of Dhol. While performing the dancers were balancing pots on their heads and the male dancer was playing Dhol. Musicians were playing Harmonium and Tambourine. A young girl was singing Santali song.<\/p>\n
Drama- An awareness drama named \u201cThikana Mukti\u201d was performed by SAM farmers and Mukti cultural group members. The play was performed to raise awareness about how the use of chemical fertilizers is endangering future generations and killing them prematurely and how even the earth is infected by its poisonous effect. It is shown that Mukti is encouraging farmers to farm organically to combat this poison, setting up vermicompost pits for farmers to make their own organic fertilizers and even distributing free salt-tolerant rice seeds to help farmers after floods. Farmers expressed their happiness after receiving support from Mukti. The play was a collective effort of 6 actors, 2 musicians, 1 prompter and of the director.<\/p>\n

Puppet Show \u2013 The name of the puppet show was \u201cJhor Asche\u201d. The show was about the importance of mangroves. The message has been circulated that Mukti is planting mangrove and vetiver grass to strengthen the embankments. Mukti has made cyclone-tolerant houses to keep the villagers safe from cyclones and floods. People are called to support Mukti so that Mukti can make a historical change through the development of Purba Sridharpur.\u00a0 16-17 people participated in the puppet show.<\/p>\n
