On 27th<\/sup> November 2022 Mukti organized a special meeting at Sridharpur village with the distinguished people of the area who have engaged themselves in the development of the area and are participating actively in the service of the people for the past many years.<\/p>\n

In the first part of the discussion at the meeting, various ideas emerged as characteristics of ideal voluntary organizations –<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Maintain financial transparency in all activities<\/li>\n
  2. Maintain an attitude of service<\/li>\n
  3. Stay away from for-profit business<\/li>\n
  4. Employees of the organization shall not personally engage in any financial corruption<\/li>\n
  5. An analysis of the actual needs of the area is required before starting work in the area<\/li>\n
  6. The foresight of the organization<\/li>\n
  7. Attitude of cooperation<\/li>\n
  8. Impartiality<\/li>\n
  9. A clear understanding of equality and fairness<\/li>\n
  10. Appropriate skills among employees in terms of work<\/li>\n
  11. Transparency in operations<\/li>\n
  12. Inclusion – Participation of people from all walks of life in the development process<\/li>\n
  13. Structured monitoring process<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    In view of these characteristics, the members present evaluated the work of Mukti and advised Mukti to be more proactive about inclusion and monitoring processes. All attendees present at the meeting agreed that Mukti has been working on all the above characteristics for the past few years.<\/p>\n

    Areas suggested to increase scope of work in future are \u2013<\/p>\n

    1. Work on fishermen’s rights<\/li>\n
    2. Steps to conserve river embankments\/plantation of mangroves<\/li>\n
    3. Action-oriented education<\/li>\n
    4. Health services development (increased ambulance services)<\/li>\n
    5. Agricultural development<\/li>\n
    6. Youth community development<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      In the second part of the meeting, the essential qualities of an ideal leader were discussed\u2013free of immorality, endurance, non-corrupt, non-partisan, decision maker, has at least minimal education, philanthropic, spends time for social service, democratic awareness, good public relations, prudence, identifies bias, is neutral, loyal to the cause, patriotic, rises above personal criticism, creates leaders and is capable of self-criticism.<\/p>\n

      That is, in order to be recognized in society as a real leader, an individual, regardless of gender, must possess these qualities. Those who balance these positive traits in themselves are the only ones who are eligible to be selected as people who can create social development. The attendees expressed their desire to be able to select such a leader by exercising their democratic rights in the upcoming elections, for the sake of the development of the villages of the area.<\/p>\n
