The next phase will be held soon. The meeting has been conducted by Mrs. Bratatai Mukherjee \u2013 Environment project lead and Mr. Pradip Halder \u2013 Supervisor of the coconut project. The discussion starts at 3 pm and continues till 4:30 pm.<\/p>\n<p>2,300 coconut saplings have been planted on both sides of the 9 km road from Jora Bottala to Damkal Ghat. 220 MCDF members (22 groups, 10 members each) are engaged in taking care of these saplings. Regularly these women spray medicine, give water, fertilizers and also protect the saplings from cattle.<\/p>\n<p>Discussion of the meeting:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Mukti has investigated how these women are taking care of the saplings and whether they are having any difficulty in doing so.<\/li>\n<li>They are having difficulty collecting water due to extreme heat. So Mukti has instructed them to buy water from the swallow water sellers and to water the trees in the afternoon so that the water does not dry out too soon.
