When disaster strikes, it doesn\u2019t just take away homes and devastate livelihoods. It leaves people vulnerable to disease, affecting families and whole communities long after the disaster has passed.<\/p>\n

Flooding is one of the worst disasters for insect-borne diseases like Malaria. The stagnant water creates a breeding site for mosquitoes. Mosquito nets are one of the most common ways to prevent the spread of malaria and other mosquito-borne diseases. By sleeping under nets, families can minimize the chances of deadly malaria infection.<\/p>\n

To keep check on the spread of vector-borne disease in the flood-hit villages, Mukti started distributing mosquito nets to the people in the flood- affected areas. The water has started receding in these areas, the distribution of mosquito nets is necessary to protect the people from vector-borne diseases.<\/p>\n

To prevent the breeding of mosquitoes in these villages Mukti has also started to disinfect the areas with bleaching powder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
