Mukti had participated in this workshop along with other partners for the &#8216;Amplifying\u00a0Community Voices at Patharpratima&#8217; supported by Oak Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop was aimed to gain understanding of the participatory process to identify the most difficult life in the community and zero-in on key groups of focus through vulnerability listing and scoring and to gain understanding of how to prepare a social map, and mark the households of the zeroed-in groups to focus.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-40293 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost\/mukti-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-02-23-at-3.14.30-PM-225x300.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0\u00a0 entire\u00a0\u00a0 workshop\u00a0\u00a0 was\u00a0\u00a0 designed\u00a0\u00a0 in\u00a0\u00a0 such\u00a0\u00a0 a\u00a0\u00a0 way\u00a0\u00a0 that\u00a0\u00a0 it\u00a0\u00a0 would\u00a0\u00a0 be\u00a0\u00a0 a\u00a0\u00a0 combination\u00a0\u00a0 of gaining knowledge, demonstration and reflection. Training methods like discussions, presentations, demonstrations were practiced to impart the various sessions.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0 participatory\u00a0 vulnerability\u00a0 group\u00a0 listing\u00a0 &amp;\u00a0 scoring\u00a0 was\u00a0 facilitated\u00a0 by resource persons of \u00a0Rupantaran Foundation. They \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0demonstrated\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 on how\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 list\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0the vulnerable\/marginalized\u00a0\u00a0 communities\u00a0\u00a0 in a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 participatory\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 way.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Participants\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 were encouraged\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 define\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 source\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 power and identify\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 powerless\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 or the marginalized\u00a0\u00a0 groups\u00a0\u00a0 in\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 area.\u00a0\u00a0 Participants were taught to score\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 vulnerable\u00a0\u00a0 groups. Each hub was given the task to conduct this exercise at their respective places to identify the vulnerable groups.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 social\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 mapping\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 exercise\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 was facilitated\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 by\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 DRCSC. The trainer demonstrated the preparation of social mapping.\u00a0 He showed the marking of the important centers like the places of\u00a0\u00a0 worship,\u00a0\u00a0 schools, sub-centers,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 major\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 water\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 sources, roads, etc. and finally marking the vulnerable households. Each hub was given the task of developing a social map for each village.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-40294 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost\/mukti-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/02\/WhatsApp-Image-2021-01-22-at-10.47.21-AM-300x225.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The participants\u00a0\u00a0 were\u00a0\u00a0 told\u00a0\u00a0 to\u00a0\u00a0 rate the\u00a0 experience\u00a0 of\u00a0 being\u00a0 the\u00a0 part of\u00a0 this\u00a0 journey\u00a0 in\u00a0 the\u00a0 five\u00a0 scale rating\u00a0 tool.\u00a0 All the participants rated in the positive\u00a0\u00a0 portion\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 rating tool,\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 all\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 of\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 them\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 rated\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 the experience\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0in\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 a\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 positive manner. This showed they liked the workshop quite a lot and were able to connect with the issue.<\/p>\n<p>At the end , a participatory\u00a0\u00a0 self\u00a0\u00a0 \u2013\u00a0\u00a0 assessment\u00a0\u00a0 was\u00a0 also conducted\u00a0\u00a0 where\u00a0\u00a0 the\u00a0\u00a0 participants\u00a0\u00a0 themselves rated themselves in terms of knowledge, skill and confidence of the issue.<\/p>\n<p>More such workshops on tools of PRA and PVCA are planned to be conducted for capturing the vulnerability and capacity analysis of each vulnerable\u00a0 group.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[gdlr_button href=&#8221;http:\/\/localhost\/mukti-old\/product\/donate-amphan&#8221; target=&#8221;_self&#8221; size=&#8221;medium&#8221; background= &#8220;#FF0000&#8243; color=&#8221;#ffffff&#8221;] Donate Now!
