Many people were killed by the powerful cyclone \u2018Amphan\u2019 that slammed into India and Bangladesh on Wednesday 20th<\/sup> May, 2020, wiping out thousands of homes and drenching low-lying areas in torrential rain leaving people homeless and hungry. 12 days have passed till \u2018Amphan\u2019 made its landfall. Still there are thousands who are in severe need of food and shelter. The \u2018community kitchen\u2019 scheme, a nutritional meal program envisaged to address the \u2018Amphan\u2019 victims at Sonakhali No. 6 village under Basanti Gram Panchayat by Mukti.<\/p>\n

At Sonakhali No. 6 village under Basanti Gram Panchayat Mukti has started one Community Kitchen where 180 people are fed by group of 7 women who are cooking foods for them. Among those 180 people 60 are below 20 years.<\/p>\n
