The damage there was more extensive than in Cyclone Aila\u00a0in 2009. Acres after acres has been ruined which includes agricultural land, habitats, property, people. AMPHAN has destroyed thousands of homes, uprooted trees and electric poles, turned acres of fertilized land into barren lands with salty water and so on.<\/p>\n<p>Mukti volunteers pushed all their efforts to speed up restoration work in the aftermath of super cyclone AMPHAN. Before the Cyclone\u2019s landfall, Sunderban Mukti has already evacuated thousands of the vulnerable to safe shelters.<\/p>\n<p>The basic need of life is food. Mukti volunteers are gathering funds to feed the hunger of the hungry and in this mission Mukti is conducting food distribution program at many of the affected areas of Sunderban. Kakdwip is one of the major working areas of Mukti.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-38432 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost\/mukti-old\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/05\/a577420b-d362-4372-8812-2d931197f1f2-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"a577420b-d362-4372-8812-2d931197f1f2\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" \/><\/p>\n<p>At Namkhana Block, under Budhanagar Gram Panchayat there are two villages Fatikpur and Bisalakkhi where Mukti has provided Food to 100 families. Each of the families are provided with Potato &#8211; 2 kg, Mustard Oil &#8211; 500 gram, Rice flakes \u2013 500 gram, Dal (Lentils) \u2013 500 gram, Soyabin \u2013 500 gram, Batasa (Sweet Candy) \u2013 250 gram, Soap \u2013 2 pieces.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s just a small initiative of Mukti at Kakdwip.
