These ponds play a vital role in sustaining the ecological balance. However, over time, these ponds have faced various challenges, including pollution, siltation, and encroachment, leading to their deterioration. Recognizing the significance of these water bodies, Mukti has initiated some efforts to rejuvenate the ponds in the Sundarban region.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2420 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/muktiweb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-05-31-at-12.49.35-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"174\" height=\"130\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Mukti has joined forces with Indians for Collective Action (ICA) of San Francisco, USA in a transformative initiative aimed at rejuvenating a staggering 200 ponds in Purba Sridharpur and Damkal region. With unwavering dedication, Mukti has already commenced work on 72 of these ponds, setting an impressive pace toward achieving their goal. To efficiently execute this colossal undertaking, the project has employed the assistance of nine Poclain machines, ensuring that the process of rejuvenation is carried out with precision and efficiency.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-2421 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/muktiweb.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/06\/WhatsApp-Image-2023-05-31-at-12.50.17-PM.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"160\" height=\"213\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This rejuvenation process involves clearing the ponds of accumulated silt, reducing pollution through waste management strategies, preserving water resources and implementing sustainable farming practices in the surrounding areas to minimize runoff and contamination.
